General help
The MGC Chatbox Evo is really easy to use

You can :
  1. Send chats : you just have to enter the text in the dedicated input field and then to validate it by pushing the return key ou by clicking on the OK button.
  2. Format the chats :
  3. once you un-collapse the chatbox formatting toolbar by clicking on the BBCode button, you have access to different formatting options for your chats. You can format a chat by selecting a part (or the totality) of it and then select one of the buttons/list. You can also add empty formatting tags by selecting nothing and clicking one of the buttons/menu thus allowing you to add the chat text afterwards between these tags.*
  4. Access to the different channels : you can have access to different channels restricted to only some usergroupds or for specifics use of the chatbox. The different channels are accessible from the buttons on the left of the chatbox.*
  5. Edit your chats (or others chats) : the edition of a chat can be done by a simple double-click on it.*
  6. Use specific commands : some commands can be accessible in the chatbox depending on the will of the administrator(s) of your forum. These commands let you execute specific actions of formatting, management, etc... You will herebelow the information on the command which are accessible to you. You must notice that you are not forced to use the command prefixes (/command_name) when you use them in the channel they are attached to (except in the general channel).*
* : Depending on the settings chosen by the administrator(s) of the forum, you might not have access to all these features.

I dont rap because I cant write. I can think of schemes if I really put my mind to it but could never write it out to make it sound good. my 2 sense.

I could write hot individual bars but i wouldn't be able to draw them in to schemes or have the ability to spit them. To me it looks alot tougher than what is spitten. Battles are artistry because it takes more than just ability to win. Whereas in the mainstream it takes just ability and producers work. On the battle scene aint nobody holding your hand. It's why battles are the essence...there's no dope beats to save weak lyricism.

I write songs sometimes (never tried a battle), the tough part for me is knowing if what I am saying is worth recording (ie; the message of the bars, wordplay, the delivery, flow, etc.) I can never decide when to call a track done or if I should go back and rewrite or rerecord my stuff again. Whether I want to promote those songs too, well thats a whole other rant...

I think anyone that can talk should be able to rap. But battle, naw man. That battle rap is only for the strong willed/minded people. Weak MCs get killed in a battle.....and it just sucks when u lose big. Weak minds just can't take that, or that's what I think. But heck, I'm wrong more then I'm right.

There is A LOT of weak lyricism in battle rap

I do agree it takes a mix of confidence and a "fuck it" attitude to battle though

I know exactly what you mean. There are times when I'll think up a bar/scheme/punch and the next day think it should be re-worded. Then tinker, only to have pretty much the same bar in the end.

I think when you hit the "yeah it's dope" feeling, just leave it as it is and move onto the next.

Yup, you've articulated my issue perfectly. It gets redundant after a while tinkering with the same bars over and over again to get the perfect wording, only to have barely changed anything (especially when you approach a task with an "it can always be better attitude". Ill be sure to try out your method next time though, hopefully it can help me make some improvements. Thanks for the advice
