Moreover, that's Uno at his best and he's not seeing Illmac at his worst.

To be honest I thought he was at his best against Lunar. The incorporation of crowd involvement, the trap in the third, the rhythm he brought to his second...that was a great and unique performance. Him against Illmac is a mismatch of hilarious proportions mind you, but I'll watch regardless and it'll definitely be entertaining. Plus you've gotta give Uno props for hustle alone...dude went from a debut at some point last year to undercard at WD2 to headlining at BITW5 to starting 2012 off with battles set up against Illmac, Johnny Storm, ZM and QP. His ascent has been meteoric, and even his detractors have to be a little impressed by that IMO.

even if you dont like uno as a battler, you have to respect his grind. he will battle anyone, anywhere it seems, however all the big names WANT to battle him. he has made a demand for himself. i find uno entertaining

He is entertaining but its because he is just a joke now. He has sacrificed talent for being big and entertaining with that stupid funny style. I dont like it because I know he is better than that. Not a whole lot better but he would actually be a challenge if people knew he would write 3 rounds of semi-solid stuff.
Thats why I serious doubt he should be in the GP. The Kali battle was flat out terrible and the HFK battle was barley a round of decent stuff put together in all. The worst part is that people backed out of doing the GP which let Uno in because of views where people have been putting in work in GZ and lower guys in KOTD but he gets in. Goes against everything KOTD stands for. /rant.
