I got Rich EASY in round 1. He had the presence.
And he didn't do to much cheap laughs.

Sketch got round 2 to me.

Judging would be so hard but man Porich deserved it. His first round too he got on some smart shit.

I really like both MC's, but I really think Rich wins because of how loud he gets, and how funny he can be. Though that is what I found weird about this battle. Rich didn't really spit any serious shit, and his jokes weren't as funny as usual. Sketch was on a more serious game. Rich did have some crazy bars, and I agree the Bruce B. stuff is more of just a shellshocker than anything. All in all I think Rich was off his game more than usual, and Sketch took this.

After watching once, I give all three to Sketch with it being a solid argument that Rich edged the first one.

Rich is 80% performance and 20% bars. A majority of his stuff is pretty shallow but gets shit going. He knows how to get the crowd pumped up and going nuts. That is his major tactic. The dude has bars, don't get it twisted, but he just doesn't try to focus on just having dope material as much as putting on a big performance.

Sketch brought some heat. He had great angles and some crazy punches. He showed why he was the champ.

I'd say this is worse than the 2v2 decision. I felt like the 2v2 final was way closer than this after one watch. And that battle was the epitome of bars vs performance. Anyone who looks at the bars in the 2v2 can see that Illmac/Saurus shit all over Rich/Diaz.

I used to really like Rich, and I do still enjoy his battles, but I'm tired of the act he puts on. Tries to be hard as shit the whole battle and when he wins, he hops around with his boys for thirty seconds? Then just completely disses Sketch and everyone by basically refusing to do an interview. I feel like everything is really going to his head, which is gonna make the fall pretty painful to watch. I'm not gonna bitch about shitty attitudes b/c its battle rap, but at least try to keep it humble. All I'm saying.

With all that said, at the end of the day, this was a really good, surprisingly heated battle. Now I just wonder if someone is gonna get a shot at Rich before the GP is over. Only battles he could do, I think, are some non-title international ones, or (as much as I hate to say this) a promo battle. If a Canadian dude beats the champ in a non-title match, that ain't a good look for anyone (except the winner).

So, in short: great battle, bad decision.

I wish Sketch came way harder like he normally does, I guess he was just rusty/tired/aggravated about the Bruce B disrespect. $1000 and his title on the line he shouldn't've underestimated PoRich's ghost writers.

He's now got thousands of dollars, a chain and a win in the 2-on-2s based on robberies. I can't agree with that. Also, the new chain is...not good.

Again, I don't think the Bruce B lines were too far. I just think they were wack. Be dope if you're gonna go there. They were better than Cortez's, though. Because they're so clearly untrue that you can just focus on how entertaining the bars are. Unfortunately for Rich, the answer is not very.

Organik never looked pissed during Cort's bars, but he actually looked like he wanted to swing at Rich. He even sort of consoled Sketch mid-battle.

Rich has done some good shit over the years, but I am sure he got this based off "hard work" and not being the best contender. Record wise, it makes sense, but...I just don't agree with it. I'd root for Dose against Rich, to be honest.

Sketch stumbled his way to the chain in the first two rounds against Bender. Bender had one big choke, but Sketch had slip ups in every round. He still took all three against Rich.

You're not providing anything besides the idea that anyone claiming Sketch took it is a hater.

Besides, it's not like he'll keep it. The chain means about as much as the toilet paper in X.S. bathrooms right now, I imagine. That's the saving grace. Rich won it through robbery when it had little meaning as it is. Now it means nothing. Hollohan is the only guy to successfully defend it, and had he not put the chain up against The Saurus, he may have defended it further. In MY opinion, the only legitimate title change was Bender Vs Arcane and due to the choke, possibly Bender Vs Sketch.

Twist shouldn't have lost to Hollohan and though Saurus beat Hollohan, he shouldn't have put the title up.

The best don't want it. So, we're left with the likes of P.H., Shocks, Rich, Dose and Daley. No slight against them, but considering who they COULD have in the matches...? It's not worth anything anymore. Winning it's not an accomplishment. If anything, anyone should be ashamed if they don't.

If you think Rich won, fine. To claim bodybag? No.

Say what you want about certain battles, but in NO way was the 2 vs. 2 Grand Prix win was a robbery. I went in hoping that Illmaculate and Thesaurus would win, but Rich and Diaz won fair and square.
