If i was a battle rapper i would refuse to battle in N.Y against a opponent from N.Y. reason being the crowed is bias and it ruins the battle and any chance of you getting a fair judging..
Team Homi.... now i'm not A fan of any of them reason being the only time they win is when they battle in N.Y and for the most part they refuse to battle any where else. and it seems the N.Y crowed is extra bias when it comes to them.

Crowd bias only matters if they vocally disrupt any of the performers sets. Whether a crowd cheers or doesn't is really of no consequence and battlers need to adapt to that. The challenge and thrill of winning a crowd, particularly a hostile one, is only a part of a battler's task. I'm really only concerned with judging bias. But strong willed judges, familiar with the expectations of a battle and its executed shouldn't be holding a crowd's response as the DOMINANT measuring stick.
A crowd shouldn't keep people from wanting to perform.
A lack of crowd should.
The negative perspective towards bias in battling is a strange one. Regional/performer bias and support is widely accepted in all other forms involving judged outcome competition from boxing, mma, Olympic gymnastics, bull riding, diving... etc. The term "bias" rarely if ever appears for those events despite a crowd that can influence any outcome.
