KOTD PRESENTS: WAR OF THE WORDS - LOE PESCI VS SKETCH MENACE

      @KingOfTheDot - @LoePesci vs @SketchMenace
      Hosted By: @EmotionzMusic

Having taken a brief step back from battling in order to continue managing his KOTD West division, Calgary president Sketch Menace is back in the ring. As one of the former King of the Dot champions, Sketch has proven that he is one of the best that Canada has to offer, having squared off against some of the best from North America to secure his position. Over the course of his career, the Calgary native has been in the ring with PH, Dirtbag Dan, Anecdote, and Bender, the latter of whom the title chain was claimed from. After making a run in the 2 vs. 2 2011 Grand Prix with teammate Nebula, Sketch Menace kept himself busy running his division, hosting various events and taking the occasional battle. Utilizing a style that combines a confident performance with direct and heavy handed punchlines, Sketch is not an emcee to be taken lightly in the battle circuit. Now taking on Loe Pesci, Sketch will have his hands full as he faces one of his toughest opponents yet.
One of the best battlers that Canada has to offer, Loe Pesci has succeeded in making himself one of the most polarizing emcees in the league. With his signature practiced ambivalence, Pesci has earned himself a unique reputation built on his often faulty memory and vicious battling persona. Not always as prepared as he maybe should be, when the Montreal resident brings his A game, there are very few, if any, battlers in the world who can hang with him. Known for never pulling punches, Loe often goes for the neck with reckless abandon, mixing a brash delivery with a deadly pen game. With classic battles against fellow veterans Bender, Marv Won and Ness Lee, Pesci was also the first Canadian battler to be invited to battle in New York City, beating a young DNA in his hometown. Also a former KOTD president, the manager of the Montreal division faces off against the Calgary division leader in this clash of top tier Canadians.

        I agree with the decision.

Forgetting all the stumbling... Sketch's third had some of the best material/delivery I've seen from him.

Def one of Sketch's best battles. I actually think he won that one tbh. Loe did alright too, not his best performance.

Yea thought Sketch took that. But Pesci had a few dope schemes, so it's whatever....

it was ok, sketch got round 1 loe round 2, i didnt think sketchs 3 rd round was anything noteworthy though compared to his 1 st which i though was solid. prob edge it to pesci but i cant hate on the decision it was close.

Someone should of had that guy quiet down. I like Sketch's material better, but Loe had the better delivery and presence. Like the judges said, it looked fairly close, but I felt Loe got rounds 2 and 3. Sketch had the Porky Pig stumble going on, but his lyrics were way better aside from Loe's R3.

Goddamn I was actually hyped for this battle, but it just disappointed me. I like both battlers, but both of them are so low energy most of the time. Sketch's delivery has always been pretty bad, and Loe's presence isn't always there. It's only noticeable when he's trying to turn a jab into a haymaker and it doesn't work most of the time.

Overall? 2-1 Sketch. Nothing else to say really.

2-1 sketch, but I could see an argument either way. Not the best battle from either.

Am I the only one who is really confused about the battle they just watched?

I'll have to watch it again, but I felt to me like it was pretty one sided in favor of Sketch.

Like, he (at the very least) edged each round. Small stumble aside (because it wasn't that bad and Loe has a stumble fit of his own), his bars and delivery were both great here. I don't know why people keep hating on Sketch. I mean, he's killed it in a majority of his battles over the last year or two.

Loe had some good stuff here and there, but this was far from his best material or delivery. He didn't seem to really care at all. This felt a lot like his WD3 performance. It was okay, but far from anything special. I mean, Pesci rounds here were more boring to me than almost anything I've seen Sketch in.

It was a good battle and I'll have to re-watch.

I think Sketch needs a bigger name. He tends to bring his best against bigger names. I'm really not sure why he catches so much hate.

Pesci needs to either just retire, or pick an opponent who might make him give a shit. Does anyone know if the T-Rex battle is still in the works? I'd actually be excited for that to go down.

politics. if you compare bars on paper without knowing who's whom, i feel like most people would go with sketch. delivery; if you're the porn addict child molester cat sniffer down the street that doesn't know either one, sketch again.

loe pesci is like the cosco of battle rap. cosco had the best deals at first, brought in a lot of customers and established an iron clad name. while prices have increased, people still blindly follow the concept that they beat all other competitors just because it's Cosco.

Pretty boring battle. I guess I'd give the edge to Loe just based on delivery, but that was pretty boring. I usually enjoy Loe but he didn't seem that into this battle. Watching Sketch, it was tough to believe that he actually beat Bender and (in my opinion) Po Rich. He just doesn't seem like the same guy. Oh well.

That hipster host for that division, is just the WORST kind of person. I like Sketch's angle for Loe about how he was on Americans Dicks when he first came out. I watched Loe vs DNA before the battle and he was all like "I might be canadian but i got bars man, blahblah blatg" knew why i always hated loe.
