Despite having only a handful of solo battles in the format, Sonny comes across as a seasoned vet. Following three high-profile battles against Jonny Storm, Nocando, and A-Class, he proved that he may very well be the dopest of the former Grind Time figureheads. As a battler, he displays a confidence and fearlessness that belies his height, often incorporating his most defining physical feature into battle verses already lousy with intricate schemes, unique angles, and one of the most melodramatically greasy slow flows around. More of a “bars” than “jokes” kind of MC, the Atlanta rapper is bound to impress the increasingly nuanced Toronto crowd in his match against Osa.

Lauded for a greasy, slurred delivery and deftly crafted rhymes, he’s been gradually creeping past “battlers’ battler” status into fans’ “10 KOTD battler” lists following impressive showings against Quake and a retiring 24/7. Unafraid to get abstract, Osa is one of the most original battlers in King of the Dot - having taken creative angles and even eschewing traditional battle verse in the past - blending a charisma and humor with straight disrespect that seems to suggest that he’s more concerned with doing him than anyone else.

      Good battle.

      I think Sonny took the first decisively. The second was close, probably edge it toward Osa. I think Sonny edged the third, but it was crazy close again. This is one that I need to watch again, though.

      I'd say that, regardless of how the rounds shook out, Osa should lose for having that cracked out white dude on his side.

      KOTD needs to bring Sonny back for more battles. Dude always kills it.

      Sonny came a little bit weak tho, I just feel like dude is not that hard like he used to be. Maybe he's a little bit rusty, Fuck get these former grindtime rappers some kotd battles.

      Sonny Bamboo beat Osa. Strictly on the principle of Sonny having more heart AND better bars, more hard hitting and personal.

      Plus Osa, as said in the post battle interview by the biggest faggot reverand, is NOT top tier. Sonny Bamoo just used Osa to showcase his talent once again.

      This is not dick-riding either.
      All you have to do is look behind Osa to spot the nature of the true dick-rider ( Pause ) . Look at bender ( Pause ) that faggit. Look at Pesci ( Pause ) . Look at the other junkie swinging off each of their shoulders.

      yah sonny better bars???

      only battle he won was jonny storm, aclass 3-0 Osa 3-0 but sonny did come hard in battle but osa has been more active compared to sonny.

      Imo i had Sonny Taking round 1 Osa took the 2nd easily in my opinion. 3rd i gave to Sonny. I didnt like when he played the race card too much but those last couple bars put sonny as the winner for me. I hate Osa, but i can see how that battle could have gone either way. Better battle than whats been released as of late. Love to see Sonny come back to battle again.

      If you fucking know anything about Philly and New York then you know why E-Ness got booed. Matter of fact have a look at DAYLIGHTS analysis of the battle, he knows too. E-ness put on a better performance and the crowd were completly wack.


      DNA cant speak proper English. AND IF YOU SAY ITS ABOUT HIS FLOW OR ANY OTHER WACK SHIT LIKE THAT ITS BULL. E-Ness has much more solid content and flow than DNA during the battle, and if their bars were sitting next to each other on a table, I'd pick E-Ness'.

      They started booing E-Ness when he wasn't even that bad and when DNA said some weaker shit or equal to what E-Ness said they went along with it. Wack crowd ruined E-Ness performance and in the end the Battle.

      As for this battle, the people behind Osa ruined it for me.
