KOTD PRESENTS: WORLD DOMINATION 3 - HEAD ICE VS PAT STAY

Harlem Everyday All Day (I Control Everything) is the slogan of none other than Head Ice. A product of New York City, Ice quickly became one of the finest battlers to ever represent the 212. With his patented drawl and smooth demeanor, Ice has made a name for himself in every arena, accepting battles in Grind Time, Smack/URL, Lionz Den, and now, making his Canadian debut, King of the Dot. Over the years, Head Ice has built his reputation by taking on an impressive roster of MC, squaring off against Cortez, Tech 9, Swave Sevah, and Quest McCody, to name a few. Along the way, the Harlem emcee developed his trademark style, a staccato delivery with brutal punchlines and humorous dismantling of his opponents. For his first appearance in KOTD, Head Ice has accepted a headlining battle with Pat Stay, a clash of two of battle rap’s biggest bullies that’s bound to be as stylish as it is disrespectful.
One of KOTD’s best known rappers, Pat Stay is back from his short lived retirement to headline at World Domination 3. The Nova Scotian beast has returned for his third World Domination, ready to take on arguably his biggest challenge to date. Known for his devil may care approach to battling, Pat Stay has no problem with crossing the line, willing to say whatever he feels is appropriate for his opponent. First seen during the days of the Elements League, the Dartmouth native burst onto the scene, demanding attention and respect with his aggressive, sometimes hostile performances and creative approaches to his battles. Pat has gotten the attention of international battlers due to the infamy of his performances against Arsonal, Marvwon,The Saurus, and his legendary stature-cementing World Domination 1 battle against best friend Hollohan. Pat Stay returns this year to take on legendary Harlem battler Head Ice in what is sure to be one of King of the Dot’s most classic battles yet.

Pat Stay got round 1 lets GO!
      AND Ice game NICE.
Round 2 was heated and even as hell but the rebuttle at the end by Pat was the difference.
      Round 3 is a draw.

      Legendary battle you could say.

I don't give a fuck about who wins. I thought Pat had better wordplay and bars. I think Ice has better style and i like his voice and tone better. I don't think people should care too much about Pats build. He's only that way because he takes steroids. I'd like to see Ice back at a KOTD whenever, he seemed quite humbled by the event. Pat is Pat, he's always very good at this and one of the best out there.

Who are Matt Molar and Devon Stone ?

Pat Stay's rebuttal at the end was mediocre... nothing that really is worth mentioning.

It was FAR from legendary though.

Honestly, I was kind of expecting Pat vs Arsonal Part 2. Mostly because I've never liked ICE. I've only seen a few of his battles, all most recent, and I thought he was boring and put way too much hype into his own bars.

But, man, I gotta say, this battle made me an Ice fan. He seemed more relaxed than in other battles I've seen. More comfortable. That is part of why KOTD is the place to be right now in battle rap. Everyone, don't matter the style, gets a warm welcome and judged on their bars. KOTD keeps it hip-hop.

Both dudes killed it. I'd say Pat won, but by the end of the battle, I didn't really care who "won." This is one of the few times where I didn't have a problem with the battle being "promo."

Bring ICE back. Ice vs Arcane would be dope.

Also, Since Ice is tight with Loaded Lux, KOTD should get Ice/Lux vs Hollohan and Pat Stay....or just a whole KOTD vs URL event.

The battle was far from legendary your saying??

I said the rebuttle was the difference in round 2, and didn't say i thought it was sick,
just as simple as that, they both went through their rounds and Pat added relevance of here and now.

The battle was a "Classic", that is what I ment by legendary. Why isn't it ?

Obviously our opinions differ, but other than the fact that Ice was in it, there's nothing about it that is going make it stand out from most other battles. I wouldn't even call it a classic battle outside of KOTD, but that's not a diss to either of them... I normally re-watch battles over and over for a while, but I never felt the need to re-watch this one a second time, whereas I had watched Dizaster-PoRich maybe three times while having seen Calicoe-Loaded Lux at least five times (not even counting when the audio was first leaked). But within the KOTD league, maybe you can call it classic. But it really wasn't a legendary battle in any way.

And when I was talking about the rebuttal, I'm just saying that it wasn't really effective enough to sway it more in his direction. I can respect it, but it was a weak rebuttal with bad timing (done at the very end of his round). My stance is that unless you're going to come back hard, then don't reference your opponent's line(s) just for the sake of doing it because it was "freestyled."

You can have really good battles and not be considered classics, this is one of those battles. Two solid performances, pretty even, nice style clash, mutual respect, good battle, nothing amazing, but good stuff.

Totally disagree. I've watched battles for some time, and i've seen a hell of alot of battles in a hell alot of leagues. This is an easily classic battle becaue its retrospective, loads of folks gonnae visit it time and time again. I wasn't even building up Ice, even though i was the first on here to mention his name. They used to play a fuckin funny beat after he finished a round, because he is I.C.E. What i've noticed with ICE, and you will find it in most of his battles, is that he spits real good bars in the middle of a sentence, instead of the end of it. He draws what i would call 'ghetto portyrayal bars' and sometimes they go over peoples head, because as i say, he spits alot of true bars during a sentence, instead of the end of it. For example, ICE said at the beggining, and during a sentence which went over peoples head, that ' he have to step into the woods to get his dear back'. That would have got a reaction in any league at the end of a line, and not during it. This is why i couldn't give a fuck about what age battlers are. ICE is on a real game, and i dont give a fuck if he is 40 or 90, the fact is he has room for improvement. This is an undisputed classic in every sense of the word. If URL don't want the likes of ICE and Solomon, then ching ching for KOTD. Pat Stay brought it once more. It doesnt matter if you dont like pat, hes gonnae bring it over and over. He's one of my favourite battlers out there, and even he sometimes pisses me of. That's why he will always be relevant. Love him and hate him at the same time, he provokes responses and is probably Canadas most poupular battler either way. If you go through the material, i'd say this is possibly one of the greatest battles of all time.
