BLACKOUT 2 -SKELLY vs PASSWURDZ

Skelly went the fuck OFF

Passwurdz had a really good, articulate showing in the first, but Skelly just out-rapped him in every way. He had the punchlines, the cadence, everything.

Pass's double time in the 2nd was mad. The rest just wasn't hitting. Skelly's was, once again, just better in every aspect to me. I thought the same when I watched it, but I think I was too excited for the rest to truly realise how sick he was.

Skelly's 3rd was fucking raw. He already had it 2 - 0 at that point, but then he just smashed it.

Pass really nailed down the second with hard bars, The Precious line, the ankle bracelet shit...both were good. Skelly just out-did him.

Fuck promos, though. Honestly, a battle like that and no win for Skelly is fucking awful. He's coming off two losses, or is it three? He starts going bars out, bodies his opponent in three and doesn't get the win?

Skelly all 3 rounds in my opinion. I like pass, but it seemed he wasnt on point. He was ruthless on Skelly's girl though. I've seen Skelly's wife in past battles, she looks like she would tear a mofo up. Pass did look nervous or uncomfortable even spittin those bars about her.....

Another great battle.

Pass gave a better performance than against Swain, but he's one of those Fresh Coast guys who just can't seem to to get too comfortable outside of the West Coast scene. He's been one of my favorite dudes doing this, but Philly and this battle don't compare to his Daylyt and Hollow battles. It's like a totally different cat spitting bars.

Skelly got the first round clearly. Great bars, good delivery as always and his shit was on point for the battle.
I think Pass got the second. His shit was pretty crazy. Skelly had a lot of filler and his round wasn't really focused.
Skelly edged the third. Pass just didn't have enough. That "login, no password" line was INSANE.

Skelly always seems to have a really great first round, especially in the PH and Arcane battles, and then just sorta drifts off, loses focus, has a lot of filler and ends up getting really out shined. When his second was a little lacking, I was worried this was gonna be the case, but he brought it back in the 3rd. Plus Pass didn't seem to be trying too hard in the first and second rounds.

Skelly 2-1 after one watch through. I think the battle has some solid replay value, though. I'll peep it again later today and see if I feel the same. It really sucks that Skelly finally earns a win and he doesn't get the W.

That double time was full of direct material, you were paying attention right? or were you just nodding your head along trying to keep up?

In my opinion you really need to watch this battle more then 1 time b4 laying down a judgement, this shit was close almost to close to call in 3. OT would have def been needed for this battle to be judged on spot. Its a good thing this is going to be over judged. 1

honestly...i'm bias because i just like pass better. i mean he's a REAL vet before battling ment writtens. i also really don't buy skelly going HARD CORE URL style. I just don't buy it. and his commitment to going hard is pretty ridic. straight URL style. I've got no idea how hard scarborough, onterio is but no way is it hard like oaktown. there's just no way. i've seen some sketchy shit and my buddies have seen WAY sketchier shit in oak and i ain't even from there. so i don't buy trying to go tough guy the entire time on pass. but don't get me wrong bars are bars and i respect his bars. and if i was unbias then you prob have to give it to skelly. he did his thing. no doubt.


the other thing...canada...I GET IT...ya'll got pride but chilllllll out. when you take every canada joke personally you sound insecure as fuck. Okwerdz says something about GSP...BOOOOOOO! Whatever...I get it...he's your golden boy (America has too many good athletes to have one person be our golden boy). BUTTTT I'm pretty sure Passwurdz says something about fucking Scarborough being soft (i may be wrong but i think he did) and actually got booed. Ummm it may have hard placed....but Pass is from fucking Oakland...when it comes to turf...Oakland makes Scarborough look soft as puppy diarrhea. I mean WTF It's Okay to use a whole round on Marvwons autistic brother as long as a Canadien is saying it BUT IF YOU SAY ONE THING ABOUT CANADA YOU'RE GETTING BOOED!!! Skelly round 1. Big improvement by the kid, I liked his angles mid way through his round, I thought the Hollow part wouldn't go far but he did it decently. Passwurdz had some mad played concepts.

Damn. I will say this now, Pass was good but I think he fell off a bit. He is still very dope, but he lost his top spot, where I thought he could take just about everyone. He relys a lot more on gimmicks now. Skelly again impressed, I will admit I was never a huge fan of his but the dude got better.

You do realize that by admitting you Biased then saying you would have to vote for Skelly if you weren't, Basically your vote just went to Skelly. (But on the lighter note Canada really should be welcoming the Fresh Coast with open arms.)

The first round was a body bag and the third round was a clear win for Skelly (Pass had some great bars but no flow and he stumbled a few times). I think the second round was close and Pass's double-time was real good, but there wasn't a whole lot of substance there and Skelly kept going at him hard.

I'm guessing that this was the first battle of the event and that (plus a Can v US matchup) explains why the crowd was so jacked up.

To be fair, Ok was going for that reaction. It's exactly what he wanted. I doubt he'd have done it if it wasn't promo, though.

With that said, agreed. 100%. National bias is dumb. I don't give a fuck where you came out of a vagina. I don't care if you're my family. Battle and battle well enough to win and I'll say you won, but no other way.
