Jack Shitt 3-0. The 2nd was close but Jack just had that flow through all 3 rounds that was just great. Reminded me of the jack in the Hollohan battle.
I say Dose next for Jack. ForkFarm or SMP(in Ottawa) for Miracle.

Jack deserves someone better than Dose imo...... but itd be a great battle

Well just for the fact that Dose hasn't battled lately and Jack just had his first solo in over a year, it would be a good match-up for the title hunt. Plus if Dose were to win, thats a big name on his wins list.

Ya thinking it over your probably right....after "beating" 24/7 jack shitt would make a logical next step.

I Like the way you think Ryan... Dose vs Jack would be very interesting...

King of the Dot's title race makes as much sense as a solar powered flashlight right now, but it's nice to see there are lots of people up for it.

some1 needs to tell Gully I think the beer cancels out the Tea. lmao jks as hell though.
Ever since I saw a battle or two of Miracle I thought the man had some talent. he has never quite lived up to that potential I've seen, but his writing, like Lush said, is pretty good.
Theres some kiddy/played topics he could stay away from but he is pretty on point. The choke definitely cost him big time. It was clear the crowd was on Jacks side, but Toronto is pretty good for being fair to both sides.
Jack kept his momentum better, and only had 1 minor slip up, wheras Miracle had a minor slip up and choke.

Well, yes, there's that.
My point is that the people who were logically in line for the title got shafted. If Rich is a contender, Dose is. It should've been Rich or Dose Vs P.H., with the winner facing Sketch. I'd say Dose Vs P.H.
The reason why is because Rich has battled Sketch, lost and just recently won $1,500 in the 2-on-2 Grand Prix. The title won't be defended again for a while. From the time Sketch won it, to his first defense, it will be a good amount of months. So, even if Rich wins, Dose or P.H. (Who almost definitely deserve shots) won't get their shot until mid 2012?
Although, you could argue that if Shocks beats P.H., then it should DEFINITELY be Shocks Vs Dose for a title shot.

Back to the point, this was a great battle. I thought Miracle relied a bit too much on the whole "I'm like, he's like" simile crutches, but at least he did it well. Shame about the choke, but it happens. Jack was on some monster shit, I'm glad at least one person made a reference to the event being on Guy Fawkes day...shame that seemed to be going over heads. His wordplay and schemes were dope and he gets massive nerd points for rocking the Valve shirt and dropping the Half-Life bar.

I agree with that, it would be a good place for Dose to completely prove himself. And it's a good battle for Jack to take on someone like this, maybe a title shot next? I'm jumping ahead here, but fuck it.
Great batle, I felt Jack had every round. Content, flow, delivery, etc. were better. Miracle def did his thing though, I bet he goes into beast mode in his next battle.

alot Miracles bars were better than I thought they'd be. The choke hurt. And some weak punches. Jack Shitt def took it...just way more consistent and creative. Jack Shitt's been entertaining since Day 1 of KOTD (even since WRC's)...he's never been off my radar of top tiers in KOTD. I'd LOVE to see Jack Shitt vs Cheeda Cheese. I'm giving up on that whole title watch...seems like another joke title so far...KOTD will get it down but its gunna take a lil time for them to get a rhythm of putting down title matches that are actually top tier vs top tier.

Chedda vs. Jack Shitt>Dose vs. Jack Shitt IMO Only if Chedda won the Fredo battle, if not, Dose is better for him. But the Chedda battle would be funnier. Imagine what Jack could do with Chedda's name like he did with Miracle.

Exactly...I'm assuming Chedda beat Fredo, though I guess that's not a given. I just think that their styles are more complementary to each other and there are angles that would really be perfect in a battle between the two. I don't really think Jack Shitt has any serious contention aims either at the moment, so a battle with Dose doesn't make a tremendous amount of sense to me...still waiting for Dose vs. Daley to be announced at BO2 (Ganik said he was trying to make it happen a while back, so I assume that it's something of a given). Depending on what's presented there I might change my opinions (Chedda vs. Daley also has incredible potential as a clash of styles), but until then, a match that at least one of the battlers is interested in and corresponds to their present trajectory makes more sense to me.

Hunh...well that's a bit of a surprise, though that opens up space for a BO2 match-up bigger than I'd anticipated. Still he definitely deserves a good opponent. Depending on how his 24/7 footage turns out he could go from being expected to battle Dose to meriting Arcane. A lot of variables at the moment.

I wouldn't say that the title has always been in a bad state. It started with Kid Twist carrying it and he has always been one of Canada's best. Then Hollohan beat him, then Jack Shitt got a shot and you just said you always considered him one of the best. After that TheSaurus battled for it, even though it wasn't supposed to be a title match it turned out that way and there's no way you can debate his merit. A lot of people don't consider Arcane to be that good, but in his defense he did win the Grand Prix even though the only people I would consider top tier in there were Pesci and Jack, but Arcane did beat Loe so there's that. Bender took it after that and had the best showing in my opinion.
It's just weak now because Sketch took the title because Bender choked and Canada's best were either not interested in the title or coming off loses. Also the fact that we have new blood coming in makes them seem worse than they are; I think it's more of the changing of an era than the quality being that much worse.
It feels weird to put Jack Shitt in the title runnings right now even with this dominant performance since this is his first solo battle in awhile and it just doesn't seem fair to the other guys that have been more active. Great battle though, Jack Shitt has always been one of my favorites to watch.

I've very aware of the history of the belt...the fact the Arcane's, the Sketch Menace's, and the Po Rich's (all top of the mid tier by my standard) are even getting a shot lower's the belts appeal in my opinion. Kid Twist- Legend. Thesaurus- Legend. Bender- Legend. Hollohan- At least Top Tier. But until the Pat Stay's and Loe Pesci's (who don't give a shit about the belt) AND MORE IMPORTANTLY the TRUE best that are ADDING TO THE KOTD MOVEMENT (illmaculate's, Dizasters, RD's, ect ect ect) I don't really care about the belt. KOTD's events have become international and that's brought KOTD to the next level...once the belt becomes international (as you said Thesaurus was never suppose to hold the belt) is when i'll start paying attention.

None stepped up? Dose is undefeated, and during his battle with 24/7 he even said, "Fuck this battle, I got Sketch in mind."
It's because Rich won the Grand Prix that I'm saying he shouldn't have got it. He won the tourny, won the money and already lost to Sketch. There are people that deserve it more than him and they probably won't even get the shit until next Summer now.

It's not like Arcane and Rich and undeserving, the GP is what gave them title shots. It's not like they just popped up and got title shots for no reason. Sketch is the only guy that ever got a shot that really shouldn't have, but on paper it makes sense and he did beat Bender, technically anyway. Two and a half guys not wanting the chain (I'm not entirely sure about one of them) doesn't lower it's merit.
I like the idea of more American's getting title shots, but it's kind of weird when you think about how less active they are going to be, and what happens if something happens and they can't make it all of the way to Canada in time for the battle? I know a lot of fans here don't think about that and just don't want Americans to hold the chain just because they're America, but I'm sure those thought cross the minds of the KOTD staff.

This was the source of my initial trepidation about having an American contender/title-holder to be perfectly honest...while I've warmed up to the concept and agree that it would be an inarguably good look as far as exposure, I still think the logistical problems that come with having to fly someone up every time the title is in need of defense have the potential to cause issues for how the title's maintained.

Its whatever...free entertainment is nothing to complain about. But MY THOUGHTS are Arcane was fine because YES he did earn his shot in a one on one tournament. Two on two's are flat out different. First and most obvious...it's a TEAM, Po Rich didn't beat anybody by himself. Second...I thought it was one of the most blatant robberies of all time...not because it wasn't close but because every round was clear. Illmac/Thesaurus clearly took the first and third and Po/Diaz clearly took the 2nd.
As far as flying people out, that's not a big ish at all. People get flow out every single event and if somebody loses access to Canada there are a bunch of different opinions such as a new tournament to determine a new belt holder. I'm a little confused on why a battle fan would argue my concept of having the best battlers battle for the title. We're either going to agree or never agree but if you were to tell me that Sketch Menace and Po Rich would battle to determine who would be the CHAMPION of the acclaimed Best Battle League in the World I would have laughed in your face. I don't really care...its whatever...

It's the best battle league overall. Title matches don't change that.
It will get better, though. When people like Daley, Ubiq and others start getting shots, or going for shots, it will be better.
The problem is that the best either don't want it, or they've had it and losing it made them not wanna try again. Bender won't go for the title again, I don't think. Thesaurus only wants it because he's not two-time champ of everything until he does.
But who has dose beat besides 24??? I dont seee him fighting to battle Daley, Charron, or anybody else of major skill(no disrespect to his past opponents)
Who has he lost to? I think he should've lost to 24, but he didn't.
O'Shea came close against Rich if you actually understand what he's saying. Rich had some crazy fucking punches and really did bring it, but who else has HE beat this year?
I'm genuinely asking, I can't remember. Besides, what if Shocks lost to Kaliente? I just think that P.H. Vs Rich or Dose would've been a way to go. That or, as stated before, a four-man tourny with Shocks.
