The term mirror match is often thrown around too lightly. Any pair of MCs with somewhat similar qualities facing off against each other immediately gets labelled as a showdown between long lost brothers in flow. In the case of the next release from World Domination 2, the classification might legitimately apply. Ottawa's Charron and England's Cruger share a childlike appearance that has the tendancy to disarm opponents and fans. In reality, both rappers are wolves in sheep's clothing. Charron has quickly gone from an up and comer with loads of potential to one of the most accomplished battlers in the Canadian circuit, winning countless freestyle competitions and awards while building a steady KOTD resume. Cruger, on the other hand, has years of experience as one of the most innovative and original writers in the highly competitive and trend setting British scene. Which one of these patrons of the fountain of youth will find themselves victorious at the biggest rap battle event of the year?

Great battle, i agree with the outcome. I miss Charrons start of the round flips, i think he is trying to change on what his opponent says to him, like all his opponents say his flips are corny so he tried to stop it. I thought they were good.

i'm breaking this down as i watch it:

round 1- cruger

round 2- cruger

round 3- tie. cruger was more consistent but the "upping (up in) you ante (auntie)" line was the best punch of the battle in my opinion


round by round break downs don't always give the battle justice. this battle was a good one. and they both were entertaining. i just liked crugers angles way better. like for real he tore charron up good. charron had some bars but i thought alot of his angles were obvious (freddie cruger, freddie got fingered). and i keep it as objective as possible, but performance matters some too. and charron has about the worst swag ever. i respect him even more cuz your bars HAVE to be killer when you're that awkward. but yeah, cruger was so god damn consistent with KILLER angles. crugers a problem.

Charron firing shots at Eurgh was the funniest part of this, because you can tell he instantly realised who he dissed.

Cruger murdered him. Charron has some pretty nice bars, but it was the wrong time to switch his style up. He tried experimenting and Cruger raped him.

With that said, he seemed to have ripped shit from various W.D. 2 battles and also Solomon's battle Vs E. Ness.

For the record, I do like Charron sometimes.

Cruger's bars about Charron's girl actually made me cringe worse the second time watching. They were killer, but finding out she was there too and looking at Charron's reactions...damn.

I actually felt bad. On one level, Cruger swung the battle in his favour. On another, it was just a hardcore personal. It was, I'd say, even harder than the shit Pat Stay said.

Cruger knows he has a lot that can be said about him, I think. So, he just comes retarded personal. Kind of like the best defense being a killer offense.

This is probably the funniest battle I've seen from WD2 so far...it's even giving Twist and 360 a run for its money. I reacted out loud to both emcees every round, which is something I hardly ever do. I felt both had excellent material, but Cruger came with more innovative stuff (Definitely heard the Freddie Mercury and British Columbia disses before). It was also really funny watching Eurgh's face while Charron went in on Don't Flop...idk if we're going to see a Charron appearance at BITW5 haha. Anyways, I agreed with most of the judges in that the first two rounds were pretty easy to call (1st to Charron, the Bender line was SICK, 2nd to Cruger) and the third round being based more on stylistic preference. In my eyes, it was difficult to judge simply due to the personal imagery Charron brought to the end of his round, though Cruger was more consistent with his material. No matter who won, it wouldn't have been a robbery and a case can be made for either contender.

Idk who charrons g/f is but in the video its the one behind organick and he turns back twice to talk to her right(can someone confirm)? I think this was charrons best performance and am not hating on how it went. but what marv and soul said in the interview was true one maybe even decent rebuttal couldve changed the outcome.

Everything Cruger said building up to "I ain't jealous of that one" was priceless to me. It elevated everything right before it to a new height of embarrrassing. What he said about Charron's girl actually terribly personal or cutthroat. It may have felt that way cuz she was there.

Charron's build up of liquor up girls/nightmare on elm street/unconscious was my favorite of his. Creative template for Cruger being predatory with the ladies.

You can just ignore everything Dax says. Really, he sucks as a judge. Actually, let me explain better. His decisions aren't bad, just the reasoning behind them. It's rare that I disagree with his picks, but when he tries to explain himself I usually go "What the hell are you thinking?!". It doesn't help that he always ends it with something similar to "That's my decision, hate on it if you want, that's just what I think" I think that when you're a judge you really need to give a better reason than "That's my opinion" since your opinion matters more than most people's because of your position.

Charron has improved a lot. I like that he doesn't force the flips too much now. When a flip just came to him (the rip through a pussy two days in a row flip was insane) but when he forces them, they get pretty corny.

Round 1 - Cruger wasn't doing much. Charron came with some heat. Round easily goes to Charron.

Round 2 - The KOTD scheme got stretched a bit, but the majority of Cruger's round was hilarious. I felt like a handful of Charron's stuff fell a bit flat. Might just be me thought. A really close round, but I edge the round to Cruger.

Round 3 - Holy shit, Cruger's round was a bodybag. The look on Charron's face is just priceless. It looked like he was thinking up a flip, but then Cruger had the "flip power" line plus the flip impersonation (which was spot on) and it was a bodybag. Charron came back with some good stuff, but he wasn't even close to being as effective as Cruger. Cruger wins the round.

Cruger 2-1.

I disagree with Marv. I feel like Charron couldn't have flipped anything that would've crushed everything Cruger said. There was a girl behind Charron in the first two rounds that wasn't there in the third. I don't know if that was the girl. If I was standing by her, I can see how that would've gotten awkward.

Cruger vs Eurgh. Battle needs to happen.

I think Kruger won it. I don't have a problem or find it cringeworthy what Cruger said about that woman with Charron. You should know what to expect at these battles, and if you are anywhere near the front row you're in the firing line !

Yeah, while I think that both Eurgh and Cruger are two of the best UK spitters in the modern circuit and could probably take down a strong majority of international competition, if it ever came down to them battling, Eurgh would take it. However, the battle probably wouldn't happen anyways because by all accounts they're good friends and would probably avoid that for the same reason Chedda and Ubiq won't battle each other...
